Benko and Sýkora complete test, Rallye du Maroc 2025 awaits them

The only Slovak crew that will start the Rallye du Maroc 2025 World Championship, Martin Benko and Marek Sýkora, completed a private week-long test with the Taurus T3 Max buggy in Morocco.

During the test, they not only verified the joint functioning in the car, but also tried to find the setup of the Taurus T3 Max buggy for the competition, which starts on Friday, October 10, 2025, by conducting an administrative and technical check-up of the competition crews. Of course, in addition to setting up the vehicle, the Norwit Racing Team mechanics also made a few permitted adjustments to the buggy and mainly found its weak points.

“Everything was coordinated as we needed. The test in Morocco was also necessary because there are no similar tracks in Slovakia. We arrived in Morocco on Tuesday last week and started testing right away. After the enduro sprint in Brezno, where he won one day outright and took second place in the overall standings on the second, Štefan Svitko, who has been working with Martin Benko for a long time, flew in to join us, and so we did a joint test on Wednesday (October 8, 2025), which was absolutely great. I have to thank the mechanics who worked really hard during this week. The car was still set up more or less from the factory, which was not suitable for the local tracks. Tomorrow (October 9, 2025) we will be transferred to the city of Fez, where from Friday (October 10, 2025) not only the handovers will take place, but also the start of the Rallye du Maroc 2025 competition itself. The opening prologue is scheduled for Sunday (12.10.2025). After the prologue, the first stage awaits us, which will go from the city of Fez to the city of Erfoud. The next four stages, the second to the fifth, will take place around the city of Erfoud, always with a start and finish in the city, while the individual stages will always form a kind of loop in the area, each of which is scheduled for a different side of the world. On 17.10.2025, there will be an award ceremony in the evening. Our goal is to complete the complete competition to the finish line and then participate in the 2026 Dakar Rally,” described the first week in Morocco by co-driver Marek Sýkora.

As we have already mentioned, the Rallye du Maroc 2025 starts on 10. – 17.10.2025, while the actual measurement of strength on the track awaits the competing crews on 12. – 17.10.2025. We will regularly inform you about how the only Slovak crew will do in the competition.
